Tomomi Okazaki placed 13th for Japan's highest finish in the women's 1,000 meters on the second day of the three-day ISU World Cup series finale held in an indoor rink in the Netherlands on Saturday.

Okazaki crossed the finish line in 1 minute, 18.08 seconds while Anzhelika Kotyuga of Belarus won the event in 1:16.70. Aki Tonoike, ninth in the overall 1,000 standings with 245 points, was 15th and Shihomi Shinya 17th.
