NEW YORK – Montreal Expos right-hander Tomokazu Ohka was offered salary arbitration to stay with the National League club before the eastern standard time midnight deadline to offer contracts to unsigned players expired on Saturday.
Ohka posted a 10-12 record to register double-digit wins for the second year in a row and could get close to $1 million as the result of an arbitration hearing, baseball sources said.
