HAKONE, Kanagawa Pref. (Kyodo) Yuri Fudo carded five birdies in a bogey-free round for the day’s best score of 5-under-par 68, claiming the lead with a five-stroke advantage over the field after the second round of the New Caterpillar Mitsubishi Ladies on Saturday.
Fudo, the current money rankings leader with four victories this season, teed off with a one-shot deficit at the 6,648-yard Daihakone Country Club and sank two birdies before the turn to head into the final round with a 11-under 135 total.
