Japan was handed a 61-14 drubbing by New Zealand in their Pool B opener in the International Rugby Board Under-21 World Cup in England on Friday.
After a close start which saw the score at 7-7, the Japanese collapsed and managed only seven more points after the interval as New Zealand ran riot. Japan next faces host England on Tuesday.
