PARIS – Kosuke Kitajima, world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke, set a short-course national record of 58.76 seconds in finishing second in the men’s 100 meters at a World Cup meet Saturday. On Friday, Kitajima shaved over half a second off his own Japanese short-course record on his way to winning the 200 meters in 2:07.48.
