Regarding the Nov. 19 article "DPJ should rethink kid payouts, OECD says": The Democratic Party of Japan should stick to its guns and ignore the idiotic socialist-style thinking of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. My wife and I are planning a family in Japan and this type of incentive would go directly to us; it would not be wasted supporting incompetent bureaucracy. Moreover, it makes having more than one child more affordable and Japan badly needs to increase its population growth.
