Staffing firm Pasona Group Inc. has started recruiting Indian talent to help Japanese businesses find suitable candidates for their operations in the Middle East and Africa.

Pasona India Pvt. Ltd., a local arm of the Tokyo-based company, established divisions for the territories on Friday to place qualified Indian staff in Japanese companies operating in or planning to enter the markets, said a Pasona Group spokeswoman.

"Recently there has been a rise in demand for hiring personnel, especially in management or higher level, in India by Japanese companies operating in the Middle East and Africa. There are many successful Indian nationals in the regions with experience and personal networks," the spokeswoman said.

The staffing services provider aims to fill 100 job openings per year in such sectors as trading and manufacturing in light of rising demand for Indians with knowledge and experience in the Mideast and African markets.

Pasona's Delhi-based unit, which has branches in Gurugram, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru, also plans to expand its footprint in India by opening a new office soon in Ahmedabad in the western state of Gujarat.
