Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday it will recall around 140,000 2014 Tundra pickup trucks mainly in North America because their air bags might malfunction.

An incorrectly installed part could partially obstruct the side curtain air bags in the trucks, which are not sold in Japan, the automaker said.

About 130,000 of the affected vehicles are in the United States, where no accidents or injuries have been reported yet in connection with the issue.
