The Foreign Ministry conducted an audit into the Japanese Consulate General in Denver last May but found "no serious information leak or improper accounting," Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida said Friday.
His remarks came after a news report that the ministry had audited the diplomatic mission over allegations that sensitive documents on counterterrorism had been leaked and personnel had padded dining expenses.
