U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will host a Monday night dinner for Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda and take him to the National Geographic Museum. the State Department said Friday.

Noda, who will begin his four-day trip to the United States on Sunday, is scheduled to have dinner with Clinton after summit talks with President Barack Obama at the White House.

At the dinner, Noda and Clinton are expected to discuss bilateral, regional and global issues. These will include U.S. military support for rescue and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami last year.
