Former lawmaker and wrestling star Antonio Inoki met with Kim Yong Il, a senior official of North Korea's Workers' Party of Korea, in Pyongyang on Sunday, the Korean Central News Agency reported.
It was no immediately known what Inoki, whose real name is Kanji Inoki, and Kim, a secretary in the Central Committee, discussed in their meeting at the Yanggakdo International Hotel.
Known in the North as a disciple of the late North Korean wrestler Rikidozan, Inoki is visiting Pyongyang for a series of festivities to mark the 100th anniversary Sunday of the birth of state founder Kim Il Sung, grandfather of current leader Kim Jong Un.
