Low-cost carrier Peach Aviation Ltd. will sell ¥500 one-way tickets for flights it plans to launch between Kansai International Airport and Sapporo's New Chitose airport and Kansai-Fukuoka flights on March 1, industry sources said Wednesday.

The low fare for services between Kansai airport in Osaka Prefecture and New Chitose and Fukuoka will be available for about 10 percent of the 180-seat flight in the first month of operation, the sources said.

Peach, the budget carrier owned partially by All Nippon Airways Co., also plans to set a regular fare as low as several thousand yen, which will be less than half the price of major carriers, according to the sources.

The Osaka-based airline plans to begin operating flights connecting Kansai International Airport and Nagasaki, as well as Kagoshima, by April, and flights between the Osaka airport and Incheon International Airport near Seoul in May.
