Total shipments of beer and beerlike drinks in Japan edged up 0.2 percent to 36.49 million cases in November, marking their first year-on-year rise in four months on brisk demand for restaurants amid warm weather that lasted into the middle of month, data by five major brewers showed Monday.
Regular beer shipments grew 4.1 percent to 19.39 million cases, buoyed also by demand for “oseibo” yearend gifts, the brewers said.
