The economy is still recovering slowly but there are signs of weakness in corporate capital spending due to slower exports and production, the government said Thursday.

“The Japanese economy is still picking up slowly, while difficulties continue to prevail due to the Great East Japan Earthquake” in March, the Cabinet Office said in its November report. Although some expressions used in the October report had been altered, there is no change in the overall evaluation, the office said.
