The Japan Times, the Mainichi Daily News, the Nikkei business daily and Kyodo News said Thursday they will jointly launch an English-language Web portal that between Friday and Nov. 20 will provide coverage of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum summit in Honolulu and the East Asia Summit in Bali, Indonesia.
The Japan Press Pool Service website — which can be accessed at www.presspool.jp — will provide news alerts and reports, photographs, coverage of news conferences and Japanese press briefings, comments by Cabinet ministers, official documents released by the government, and other information on the series of meetings that will take place during the two summits.
The site will also will also include the four news organizations' leading domestic stories, and have links to their websites.
