CHIBA (Kyodo) A 14-year-old boy was arrested Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing and seriously wounding his sleeping 16-year-old brother the previous day.
The second-year junior high school student in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, allegedly stabbed his brother in the back and hip with a kitchen knife at around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday and admitted to the attack, the police said.
The boy, who had been on the run since the incident, was found late Wednesday night on a street in Saitama Prefecture about 40 km from his home.
