The number of condominiums put up for sale in Tokyo and the three neighboring prefectures in December jumped 40.8 percent from a year earlier to 7,388, a private research agency said Wednesday.

Of these properties, 78.6 percent found buyers, up 10 percentage points, for an average of ¥47.06 million, up 2.4 percent, according to the Real Estate Economic Institute.
