Maruman & Co. Ltd. will display a ¥16.80 million luxury golf club set featuring traditional Wajima lacquer pictures at the Isetan department store in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, starting Wednesday.
The Majesty Prestigio Japan set includes 13 clubs and a cowhide caddy bag. It is targetted mainly at wealthy Asian customers under a made-to-order system, Maruman said.
The club heads are covered with traditional landscape paintings that use lacquer and gold powder. The firm said it has had several orders since January.
