SENDAI (Kyodo) A pure platinum toy car worth as much as ¥7 million emerged at a Tanaka Kikinzoku Jewelry K.K. outlet in Sendai on Wednesday.

The one-of-a-kind car under the long-selling Tomica brand was produced jointly with toy maker Tomy Co. to mark the 40th anniversary of toy line's debut and took veteran craftsmen six months to make.

The 7-cm-long, 210-gram car is based on Nissan Motor Co.'s Fairlady Z 432 sports car. All its components are made of platinum, Tanaka Kikinzoku said, adding it was not for sale.
