FUKUOKA (Kyodo) Five major companies based in Kyushu say they will put up a combined ¥1 billion in capital for struggling theme park operator Huis Ten Bosch Co. in Nagasaki Prefecture.

Kyushu Electric Power Co. will put up ¥400 million , Saibu Gas Co. ¥300 million, Kyudenko Co. ¥150 million, Kyushu Railway Co. ¥100 million and Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co. ¥50 million.

Tokyo-based travel agency H.I.S. Co. has already announced a plan to provide the theme park operator with a ¥2 billion capital injection.

Huis Ten Bosch, which replicates a Dutch cityscape, gained approval from the court for its new rehabilitation plan.

The theme park will reduce its capital to zero next Tuesday, the day when it will get the combined ¥3 billion from the five Kyushu firms and H.I.S.
