The Democratic Party of Japan-led ruling bloc said Friday it has put together new relief measures to help people find jobs and shelter and added the steps are expected to impact about 100,000 people by the end of next March.

The measures, which also include help for university students graduating next spring, were laid out by an emergency task force set up Oct. 16 to address the nation’s severe unemployment situation.
