A CD with a song sung by Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama 22 years ago will be put on sale nationwide on Oct. 30, its sales agency, Teichiku Entertainment Inc., said Wednesday.

“I very much like both the lyrics and melody. But I think I’m a better singer now,” Hatoyama said of the upcoming release of the song, titled “Take Heart — Tobitate Heiwa no Tori yo” (“Take Heart — Take Wings, the Bird of Peace”).
