Yukio Hatoyama on Tuesday offered Kokumin Shinto leader Shizuka Kamei the Cabinet post overseeing postal and financial affairs, a senior Democratic Party of Japan official said.
The offer came a few hours after an executive in Kokumin Shinto (People’s New Party) said Kamei had already agreed to accept the post of defense minister.
