Photos of objects owned by victims of the 1945 atomic bombing in Hiroshima and related items can now be viewed for free on a Web site for cell phone users.

Subjects of the photos include hair that fell from the head of a girl exposed to radiation and glass bottles half-melted by the nuclear inferno.

The photos are part of a collection taken by photographer Hiromi Tsuchida in the 1980s.

"It's quite easy to view them (on a cell phone). I hope this will be an opportunity for young people to get interested" in the tragedy in Hiroshima, Tsuchida, 69, said. The photos, which come with detailed captions, can be accessed until the end of October at photofoto.jp/
