OSAKA (Kyodo) A large-scale antibody test for the H1N1 influenza virus will be conducted using students and teachers from the school in Osaka Prefecture hit hardest by the contagion, prefectural officials said Saturday.

By detecting swine flu cases that went unnoticed due to a lack of symptoms, the test will allow health officials to measure the epidemic’s real magnitude and devise more effective countermeasures ahead of an anticipated second wave later this year, the officials said.
