SHIZUOKA (Kyodo) Shizuoka Gov. Yoshinobu Ishikawa submitted his resignation to the prefectural assembly Tuesday after the much-delayed opening of Shizuoka airport was finally set for June 4.
The airport opening was delayed when trees near the runway were found to have exceeded the aviation law's height limit.
