SAPPORO (Kyodo) The body of a man found floating in a river in Kutchan, Hokkaido, last week has been confirmed to be that of a 27-year-old missing Australian man, local police said Thursday.
Scott McKay, who ran his own business, had been missing since Feb. 20, when he was last seen drinking at a bar about 1 km from the site where his body was found.
At the time it was discovered on April 15, police said the body showed no signs of major injuries and that he had apparently died after falling into the river.
