Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Toshihiro Nikai said Friday he is planning to visit the United States sometime between late April and early May and hold talks with the country's trade and energy chiefs.
Details of the visit have yet to be decided, Nikai told a press conference, but added he hopes to exchange opinions with U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu and Trade Representative Ron Kirk.
