Police have arrested five Chinese with 51 kg of methamphetamines, an official said Friday.
The drugs, with an estimated street value of 3.8 billion yen, were seized last month at a Tokyo hotel where the five were staying, said a Metropolitan Police Department spokesman who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing police protocol.
He said the four men from Hong Kong and one woman from mainland China were arrested after police received a tipoff from Hong Kong police.
