Police have arrested two men for allegedly passing through tollgates on the Hanshin Expressway without paying and are suspected of disregarding the Electronic Toll Collection System hundreds of times, police said Tuesday.
Arrested were Akira Furukawa, 38, president of a Kyoto-based trucking company, and Jiro Furukawa, 53, a driver for the company.
The two said they didn't want to spend any money for the expressway and have ignored the ETC system many times in the past, according to police.
Security cameras have captured them passing through various tollgates on the expressway.
