Interviews with 284 atomic bomb survivors originally conducted by a Nagasaki-based reporter have recently been made available on the Internet both in audio and text formats.

The Web site contains the entire collection of interviews by Akihiko Ito, 69, of Chofu, Tokyo, who formerly worked for Nagasaki Broadcasting Co. and visited atomic bomb survivors across Japan.

The Web site was created by copywriter Yoshihisa Furukawa, 51, a native of the city of Nagasaki.

In a time of both misinformation and too much information, quality journalism is more crucial than ever.
