OSAKA (Kyodo) Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Tuesday it will add 1,650 new employees to its payroll in spring 2007, counting both domestic and overseas operations, about 100 more than this spring.
The company known for the Panasonic brand of consumer electronics said the total will be composed of 750 in Japan — 100 for white-collar jobs and 650 engineers — and 900 overseas, mainly in China.
