NEW YORK (Kyodo) Fujitsu Consulting Inc., a U.S. arm of Fujitsu Ltd., has agreed to acquire Rapidigm Inc., an information technology consulting and integration firm, in a move to bolster Fujitsu's North American operations, the two companies said Wednesday.
The deal is expected to close within 45 days, although the financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The acquisition of Rapidigm will boost the IT consulting capacity in North America of Fujitsu Consulting, based in Edison, N.J., by more than 75 percent, the two firms said in a press release.
Rapidigm, based in Pittsburgh, has 22 offices in the United States and two development and support centers in India.
Once completed, the acquisition will add approximately 1,200 U.S.-based consultants in major markets through the United States and another 800 India-based consultants in two developments centers.
