Mitsubishi Motors Corp. said Monday it will start full-scale exports of its 1-ton Triton pickup trucks built at its Thailand unit in the second half of 2006.
The automaker plans to ship the vehicle to about 140 markets worldwide, including Australia, the Middle East, Latin America, Southeast Asia and Japan, it said.
The company's Thai subsidiary, Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., started producing the pickup truck in Thailand in August, and has been exporting the Triton from there to Europe since December.
