TOTTORI (Kyodo) Police on Wednesday inspected a West Japan Railway express train involved in a fatal accident the previous day in which three track maintenance workers were killed.
On Tuesday afternoon, a Super Yakumo No. 9 express hit four JR West workers doing rail maintenance in Kofu, Tottori Prefecture, killing three and injuring one.
Police are investigating alleged professional negligence resulting in death.
