A 21-year-old U.S. Marine has been arrested by Okinawa Prefectural Police on suspicion of injuring an 80-year-old woman, police said Saturday.
Arrested was Lance Cpl. Douglas Ruth, they said.
Ruth allegedly hailed the woman at around 10:20 p.m. Friday on a street in Kin, Okinawa Prefecture, saying "Hi, Mama," and butted her in the forehead, according to police.
He was reportedly drunk at the time, and was arrested at the scene by a police officer who was patrolling nearby.
