A young woman found dead in a mountain forest in Shiojiri, Nagano Prefecture, has been identified as a 19-year-old from the Philippines, police said Monday.
Police suspect that Vizmanos Ebite was murdered and dumped in the forest, where she was found Sunday. They plan to perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Ebite lived in the city of Suwa, where she worked at a clothes shop. Her body was found about 1 km northeast of the Shiojiri interchange on the Nagano Expressway.
She was naked and her body was partially covered with a black jacket, the police said.
