NEW YORK (Kyodo) Suzuki Motor Corp., an affiliate of General Motors Corp., said Thursday it wants to triple its U.S. sales from their current levels to 200,000 vehicles in 2007.

Suzuki made the announcement at the 2004 New York International Auto Show, where the major Japanese automaker unveiled the Forenza Wagon. The latter is the fourth of nine new models added to the Suzuki lineup as part of its five-year strategy covering 2003 to 2007.

The 2-liter wagon will go on sale in the U.S. in late 2004 with a sticker price ranging from $13,000 to $16,000, Suzuki said.
