NEW YORK (Kyodo) Toyota Motor Corp. apparently emerged as the world's second-largest automaker Thursday.
Ford Motor Co. said it sold 6.72 million vehicles in the global market in 2003, short of the initial estimate of 6.78 million vehicles reported by Toyota in December.
General Motors Corp. is the No. 1 automaker in the world.
