Some 130 students at the National Defense Academy have suffered food poisoning after eating at the school cafeteria, the Yokosuka Municipal Government said.

As of 9 a.m. Saturday, 127 students were diagnosed with food poisoning but are not in serious condition, according to city officials.

Up to 245 students were treated at a medical facility at the academy, according to the school, which expects more students to report symptoms.

The academy stopped operating the cafeteria, where students usually eat three meals a day.
