The annual lottery for New Year's postcards was held in Nagoya on Sunday, and winners have until July 22 to exchange their cards for gifts.

The winners of the top prize, who are eligible to choose from among five items, including a laptop computer, an electrical massage chair and a washer/dryer, are those with postcards numbered 123149 and 515711.

Second prize, which allows the winner to choose from among six items, such as a digital camera and an electronic dictionary, goes to people with cards whose numbers end with 51950.

Third prize is for people with cards whose numbers end with 5580 or 9863, and they can choose a gift from a list of 100 local specialties. Fourth prize, a commemorative stamp sheet, goes to holders of cards ending with 18, 51 or 74.

According to the Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications Ministry, some 4.02 billion postcards were issued for this year's New Year's Day.
