An 81-year-old woman was found strangled Monday in her house here, police said Tuesday.
Police identified the victim as Kiyo Tsushima, who lived alone.
They said she had been dead for two to three days before her body was found by a 56-year-old male relative whom she had asked to buy groceries for her, police said.
There were no signs of struggle, and her belongings appeared to have been left untouched. When the relative arrived at the house, he found the back door unlocked, police said.
