A 160-hectare residential complex for Japanese retirees is under construction in a Bangkok suburb and is expected to be completed within three years, a developer said Tuesday.

Bangkok Land PLC is scheduled to launch a project worth 100 billion baht (about $2.2 billion) that will involve the building of 30,000 residential units, five-star hotels, entertainment centers, an aquarium, an opera house, a business center and a musical fountain in Muang Thong Thani.
