KOBE – A drunken woman who wandered into a level crossing in Kobe narrowly escaped being killed by an oncoming train Sunday by hitting the dirt and lying under it, police said.
The 55-year-old woman was unharmed, although the second carriage of the four-car train on the Arima Line of Kobe Electric Railway Co. came to rest above her when it stopped at around 7:45 a.m., they said.
