A 63-year-old man said Tuesday his truck was shot at by a man in a car while traveling on an expressway in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, earlier in the day.

No one was injured, police said.

The police found both side windows of the truck broken. The driver, whom the police declined to identify, was quoted as saying he does not know why he was attacked.

The driver said the truck windows were broken around 9:50 a.m., immediately after a whitish car sped up and passed the truck and its male driver pulled a handgun, according to Kanagawa prefectural police.

At that time the truck was traveling at about 100 kph on a Nagoya-bound route of the Tomei Expressway connecting Tokyo and Nagoya, they said.
