Takayuki Kuroyanagi, 41, brother of media celebrity and UNICEF Ambassador Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, was arrested in connection with drug possession and turned over to prosecutors Monday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.A small amount of stimulants was found Sunday night in his car, which was parked near JR Kinshicho Station in Tokyo, the MPD said. Patrol officers in the area searched Kuroyanagi's car after he reportedly responded strangely to their questions. He later admitted to both possession and use of the drug, police said.Ms. Kuroyanagi, 64, held a news conference Monday night and apologized for her younger brother's arrest. "Crimes relating to stimulant drugs are something I detest, and they must be condemned," she said. "There is no excuse." She added that her brother must be socially responsible.
