The giant green ogre’s third animated adventure finds him faced with crises: a career decision and impending fatherhood. When his father-in-law, King Harold, dies, Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers) finds he is next in line to the throne. Preferring a life in the swamp, Shrek and his two buddies, Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), set off to find his wife Fiona’s cousin Artie (Justin Timberlake), the other rightful heir. Though the film lacks the excitement and freshness of the original, this visually attractive third installment delivers enough humor to make for a good family movie.
