Fukuoka – Right-hander Rick Van den Hurk will be tested and receive treatment through the weekend for fatigue, the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks announced Wednesday.
Van den Hurk, who last month set a record of 14 straight winning decisions at the start of career in Japan, was deactivated on June 1 for exhaustion. A Hawks spokesperson said the symptom is not limited to his elbow and shoulder but affects his entire body.
