Hideki Matsuyama shot a final-round 73 on Sunday to finish the Cadillac Championship in a tie for 35th.

Playing in strong winds, Matsuyama had five birdies, but blotted his scorecard with a bogey trifecta: one bogey, a double bogey and a triple bogey.

"You need to have a really good swing, and in these conditions I just couldn't contend," said Matsuyama, who holed out for the tournament at 4-over-par 292. "But I learned some lessons."

Australia's Adam Scott shot a final-round 69 to finish at 12 under for his second victory on the PGA Tour in two weeks. Scott finished one stroke ahead of American Bubba Watson.

Yusaku Miyazato finished with an 80 to end the tournament at 15-over par in a tie for 61st.
