Kaori Icho, who won her ninth world championship in September, captured her 12th national title on Tuesday, the second day of the All-Japan Wrestling Championships.

Icho won the women's 58-kg division to earn a spot at next summer's Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, where she will be looking to earn her fourth straight gold medal. Icho only had to compete in this week's championships at Yoyogi National Gymnasium to earn a spot in Rio, since the Japan Wrestling Federation has decided that world championships medalists would qualify if they participate.

"I have a lot of issues to address," the 31-year-old Icho said. "I want to wrestle better at the Olympics.

"There's no such thing as perfection in wrestling. There's no limit to what one can do. I want to pursue this quest."

Also punching her ticket to Brazil was women's 69-kig champion Sara Dosho, who took bronze in September and won her fifth straight national title.
